Since beginning the practice of law, Mr. Friedman has been consistently recognized as a New Jersey SuperLawyers “Rising Star.” He has also served as a Court-appointed guardian to protect the interests of minors. Prior to joining Gaeta & Friedman, Mr. Friedman represented hundreds of veterans, gold star families, and other U.S. citizens in multiple Federal lawsuits based upon injuries they received from terrorist attacks in Iraq and Israel. Mr. Friedman has been a litigator for his entire career and has argued motions and conducted trials in both State and Federal Courts.
Mr. Friedman graduated from Fordham Law School in 2008 and was awarded the Fordham Law Alumni Association Medal in Constitutional Law. Prior to his career in law, Mr. Friedman spent 12 years working in the information technology field for corporations large and small in the entertainment, technology, and financial marketplaces.

Successfully argued for reversal and remand of the trial court's pretrial dismissal of a case involving both consumer fraud and direct liability claims against the company's former chief executive order.

Successfully argued for reversal of the trial court's judgment dismissing the plaintiff's complaint based on New Jersey's COVID-19 immunity statute.
In re Estate of Rayner, 2023 N.J. Super. Unpub. LEXIS 1986 (App. Div. 2023)
Successfully argued for reversal of the trial court's judgment setting aside a pre-marital will without having held a plenary hearing to determine factors relating to the intent of the testator. The panel also vacated and reversed the trial court’s order denying the client payment of attorneys’ fees.

First of its kind bellwether liability suit successfully brought on behalf of Iraq War veterans and gold star families against the Islamic Republic of Iran. After hearing three days of factual, scientific, and medical expert testimony, the trial court found Iran vicariously liable for the deaths and injuries of the bellwether plaintiffs.

Lawsuit brought by a victim of a terrorist attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran resulting in a $30 million dollar judgment in favor of the client.
Biro v. Conde Nast, et al., 42 Media L. Rep. 2596 (S.D.N.Y. 2014), affirmed, 807 F.3d 541 (2d Cir. 2015), cert. denied 136 S.Ct. 2015
Successfully argued for the dismissal of defamation claims alleged against both a corporate client and an individual. The Court found, and the Second Circuit affirmed, that the statements published on the corporate website were protected opinion based upon fully disclosed facts and dismissed the individual due to a lack of personal jurisdiction over an out-of-state defendant.
